You do not need war meta on day one. You do need to avoid becoming an easy farm, and avoid expanding conflicts by attacking the wrong people. Wars are organized content for prepared factions and a meat grinder for brand-new accounts in the wrong place.

War basics

Follow hit calls and hospital plans from leadership
Armor, medical items, and being online matter more than during casual levelling
Solo hero plays get people killed

Retals

Retaliation means hitting back under faction rules when someone attacks your members. Learn those rules when you join. Personal annoyance is not the same as an approved retal.

Newbie survival

Prefer factions that support new players if you are still early
Keep life up in wartime
Tell leadership if you are getting farmed
Ask before hitting outsiders during tense periods
