Level 15
Level 15 is where early Torn opens up. You unlock Travel for real money-making, and you unlock rehab options abroad for drug addiction. That is why nearly every veteran tells new players to grind here first. Once you arrive you can hold, explore, or keep levelling — but get here first.
The magic number
You gain levels from experience. Almost everything gives a tiny bit, but the biggest early source is attacking soft targets and choosing Leave. It often takes roughly 120–200 successful Leaves, depending on target levels and how cleanly you win.
What you need before you attack
Stats
Train in the gym until you can beat Baldr List 3 (the easiest list). Many players are comfortable around a few hundred total battle stats — often roughly 400–600 — but the real test is winning Leaves, not hitting a magic number. Strength helps you finish fights; defense and life keep you alive between them.
Gear
Buy something workable, not endgame gear. A cheap melee from Bits & Bobs or the item market, basic armor, and a stack of pepper spray (temporary items) is enough for most people. Equip everything on the Items page. In attack preferences, turn on re-equip for temporary items after use.
Getting happy up for training
Before you dump energy into attacks, you usually need a training burst. Raise happy with candy from Sally’s Sweet Shop (lollipops or similar), optionally double it with Ecstasy later, then train in the gym. Happy resets toward normal every 15 minutes, so raise it and train in one sitting. Full how-to: Happy jumping.
Baldr and TAC lists
Soft targets are high-level, low-stat, often inactive accounts. Community lists keep them organized. In Waypoint:
- List 3 — easiest. Start here.
- List 2 — medium.
- List 1 — hardest of the main three.
- Extras — harder still.
- DOMINO — Domino medal/tag, not your default XP grind.
Open Baldr, fetch statuses, sort by level, and prefer Okay names. When Baldr is camped, use TAC.
How to attack
- Confirm weapons, armor, and temp are equipped.
- Start the attack. You have a limited time and turn window — do not AFK mid-fight.
- Use the temporary item first, then deal damage with your melee or primary.
- On the win screen, choose Leave. Not Mug. Not Hospitalize.
- Heal if life is low, then take the next Okay target.
Xanax (250 energy) or cheaper energy helpers can speed the grind once you can afford them. Natural energy across the day still matters. Details: Attacking & loadout.
After you hit 15
Stop treating every energy point as a Leave. Start flying, stabilize cash with Early money, and return to happy jumps for long-term training.
Next: Happy jumping if you still need stats, or Flying & travel once you are 15.
